Call for Help
Assess for Breathing and Pulse

2. No Pulse
Start Chest Compressions
(Within 10 seconds)
At least 2 inches = 5 cm deep
(5 to 6 cm = 2 to 2.4 inches)
Rate of 100 to 120 per minute

3.  Not Breathing
2 Breaths after 30 Compressions
30:2 Ratio

{If pulse, but not Breathing}
{Give 10 to 12 breaths per minute}

Choking

Conscious but Severe Obstruction
Adult--Heimlich Abdominal Thrusts
Pregnant or Obese- use Chest Thrusts

Infant (less than 1 year old)
5 Back Slaps
Up to 5 Chest Thrusts 

Become Unconscious
Start CPR
Look in mouth prior to giving a breath
